Takahitori

Let’s head down to Kyoto Station. Tonight’s destination is Takahitori, a small duck restaurant with nothing but counter seats. It has a calm and understated atmosphere. I’ve wanted to come here for quite some time.
Even in Japan, restaurants devoted entirely to duck are uncommon. The thigh, liver, heart, meatballs, and even the tongue—all of it comes from Kyoto-raised ducks. The sake selection is impressive as well, with bottles gathered from across Kyoto Prefecture, from south to north.
